The password is: 1368 Dedicated to the works of art destroyed during the 2013 looting of the Malawi National Museum in Minya, Egypt, this experimental short film fuses live action footage shot on location in Egypt, computer-generated digital effects and the words of the poem "Ozymandias" by Percy Bysshe Shelley to convey the message that when we betray ourselves and our cultural past, we are in danger of destroying our own identity. (Password for viewing is 1368) This film is loosely inspired by the tragic life and fascinating personality of Richard II (king of England 1377-1399). The action takes place in a medieval fantasy realm with supernatural elements. The story deals with the dreams of three kings/potential kings - King Edward's dream that his son Richard will be a great and successful ruler, his brother John's dream to have the crown for himself, and Richard's dream to have a peaceful reign and be free to live in the world of art and beauty that he has created for himself. Symbolically this film conveys the idea of the victory of artistic vision over brute force. Seventeenth century songs reinterpreted by musical theater star Keith Jack express the characters' emotions and desires.
